At Java Whiskers Cat Café, our mission goes far beyond coffee and cuddles – we’re here to help rescue cats find their forever homes. We provide our cats and kittens with a safe, loving temporary home while they wait for the right human to come along. This cat adoption story is about Benji – a quiet, resilient cat who found love after a difficult start.
Benji’s Rescue in Cyprus
Benji’s journey began in a Lidl car park in Cyprus, where he was likely abandoned by previous owners. Left to fend for himself, he was bullied by local tomcats and struggled to survive. Thankfully, our shelter partner, Furry Ears Rescue, stepped in and gave him a second chance. Benji then began his recovery, healing from his wounds and slowly regaining his strength and trust in people.
A Safe Haven at Java Whiskers Cat Café
At our White City cat café, Benji found a peaceful haven where he could finally relax and recover from his past. He settled in quickly, but he was a reserved soul, often curled up in a cosy corner, watching the world go by. He didn’t show his affectionate side to just anyone, which meant he was often overlooked by guests. However, we were confident the right human would come along and take a chance on him.
Love at Last for Benji
Finally, someone special walked through our doors and asked to meet the cat that was being overlooked. She took a chance on him and it was the perfect match. Benji is now thriving in his forever home, playing with toys, stomping excitedly at mealtimes, and enjoying gentle snuggles. He may not be a lap cat, but he shows love in equally as meaningful ways.
