About Us

Java Whiskers is a Swedish founded Cat Café (the first of its kind in London). Our mission is to rehome rescue cats, whilst delivering a unique experience for our feline-loving guests. We wish to be a relaxing haven supporting the well-being of both cats and humans.

Job Description

We are looking for a positive hard-worker and brilliant communicator. Someone who is service-minded at heart, and would love to be part of our journey to finding forever homes for rescue cats whilst enhancing our guests’ well-being within a successful growing start-up company. To us, it’s very important that you understand the nature of hospitality and are brilliant at handling stressful situations, in a calm manner.

We are looking for someone who can take responsibility and initiative, is an ambitious doer and always will ensure that the café is looking great before opening and throughout the day.

Your main responsibilities would be:

• Managing day-to-day operations of the cafe.
• Delivery of exceptional customer service, going above and beyond for guests.
• Preparation and selling of coffee and food.
• Cash management (only debit-/credit cards)
• Washing up the dishes and other various tasks according to the nature of the café
• Looking after the cats with all the various tasks that come with animal care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality
• Previous experience working with animals is a plus
• Love for cats and all the responsibilities that come with it
