Java Whiskers is more than just a café—we’re a mission-driven haven for both cats and people. Founded in Sweden, Java Whiskers Cat Café London opened its doors with one simple goal: to fight cat homelessness and offer a cosy retreat for people to relax and unwind.
Today, we’re proud to have two locations in London, White City and Marylebone. Both are home to Europe’s first Kitten Lounges, making us a must-visit destination for anyone searching for a rescue cat café in London.
Each of our locations feature two unique spaces: the Cat Lounge, where you can relax with our adult cats, and the Kitten Lounge, home to playful, curious kittens. Both lounges provide a peaceful environment where visitors can unwind, enjoy a cup of coffee, and spend quality time with our adorable feline residents.
Our Mission
At Java Whiskers Cat Café, everything we do revolves around helping rescue cats and creating meaningful experiences for our visitors. All of our cats and kittens are rescues, and we work tirelessly to provide them with a nurturing environment until they’re ready to be adopted into their forever homes.
With the help of our wonderful shelter partners, The Scratching Post and Furry Ears Rescue, we’ve proudly rehomed over 600 cats so far—and counting!
Our mission isn’t just about the cats—it’s about supporting your well-being too. We understand how important it is to combat loneliness, reduce stress, and support mental health. Research has shown that spending time with cats can reduce stress and improve mood, and our cosy spaces offer the perfect setting to do just that.
